Member Eligibility
- Those eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall be eligible for dual membership in the Auxiliary.
- Members must be citizens of the United States and at least 16 years old.
- Who is eligible:
- Wife
- Husband
- Widow
- Mother
- Father
- Foster and Step-Parents (who have performed the duties of a parent)
- Grandmothers
- Grandfathers
- Daughters
- Sons
- Granddaughters
- Grandsons
- Foster and Step-Children (who attained that status prior to the age of sixteen and for whom the duties of parent were performed)
- Sisters, Brothers, Half-sisters, Half-Brothers, Foster and Stepsisters and Stepbrothers (who attained that status prior to the age of sixteen)
- Wife
Those eligible for membership in the VFW are those that have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecuitve or 60 non- consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. More information here.
